Whisky, Gin & Ale
Here at Clachaig, a vast selection of whiskies awaits you! The choice is huge!
With over 365 bottles at the last count (one for every day of the year), our selection covers an entire spectrum of flavours from smoky, peaty Islays to very subtle Lowland and smooth sherry-casked Speyside expressions.
Even if you don’t consider yourself a whisky drinker you will find – with the help of our very knowledgeable and friendly bar staff- a single malt or blend to suit your tastes and whet your whistle with the familiar, warm glow that some say only whisky can provide.
Through 2018 and into 2019 we did think that the interest in Scottish distilled gins might ease a little. However, few things in life seem to be as dynamic as the Scottish produced Gin market with new stock coming available all the time. Keeping track of what’s new, where it’s from and what does it taste like can be a little tricky. Only a few years ago all that there was to be had was a Gordon’s Gin and Tonic. Now we have over 130 Scottish distilled gins for you to choose from including our very own Clachaig Gin and what better to drink it in than a Clachaig Gin Goblet, and if you are drinking craft gin you need a quality tonic. We stock a large range of Fevertree Tonics. What will be your perfect serve?
If a wee dram of fine whisky or a refreshing G&T still doesn’t suit, we are a CAMRA recognised Inn with a wide array of Real Ales at our – and thus your – disposal. A range that changes almost daily due to demand for the unique and delicious Scottish ales delivered fresh to us from the likes of Cairngorm, Lerwick, Loch Lomond, Orkney, Strathaven, River Leven, Windswept, Williams Brothers and WooHa breweries. There are seasonal ales in our range that vary from light, hoppy spring and summer sippers that are as refreshing as taking a dip in the river Coe herself to dark, rich winter warmers, full of depth, flavour and character. With the edition of Windswept and WooHa we can now offer a Vegan friendly option to our cask lines when we have some in.
If you are having a hard time deciding, yet again our bar staff will be only too glad to help you with making the choice that best suits your tastes! We would also recommend a beer flight if you are still struggling with what to have.
The inn offers a variety of room types, with single, twin, double and family rooms to accommodate 3 or 4 all available. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs, and en suite shower (some with bath and shower) facilities. The inn has been awarded ‘3 Star Inn‘ status by Visit Scotland.Book Now
