The Bidean Lounge
Refurbished in the spring of 2015, the Bidean Lounge is a lovely place to meet up with friends, enjoy a freshly brewed coffee or have a meal.
The lounge bar has combination of open seating and snug booths, featuring some cow hide fabrics and mountaineering bric-a-brac screens. Alternatively, pull up to one of the high refectory tables and swap stories of the days events with new acquaintances.
The informal atmosphere is an ideal location in which to contemplate the view of the mighty West Face of Aonach Dubh through the window. To add to the mountain theme, original signed photographs from the likes of Sir Chris Bonington and Doug Scott OBE hang on the walls, along with the first all metal ice axes made by our near neighbour, Hamish MacInnes OBE.
Pop up to the bar and you might just notice our ever increasing Gin range. With over 60 Scottish Gins and Gin liqueurs they are hard to miss. A few Gins might be hiding in the Boots Bar so be sure to ask for our Gin Menu.
The gallery wall features work by local artists and photographers, with a changing selection of prints and original pieces for sale.
Children are welcome in the Bidean Lounge, and our disabled toilet with full baby changing facilities is close by. The children’s outside play area is also close by.
