Live-in Accommodation

Unless already resident in the local area, securing somewhere to live is likely to be a major hurdle.

Clachaig can accommodate up to 22 employees in a mix of single and twin bedded rooms in our Staff Lodge and Staff Bothy on site and off site in Glencoe Village in our two, three bedroom houses. All accommodation buildings come with everything you need. A fully fitted kitchen, living room, laundry facilities, wi-fi and there is a bike shed on site and in the village. All our staff accommodation buildings are subject to HMO licenses, issued by the Highland Council, ensuring that minimum standards of comfort, Health & Safety are met.

To ensure that the high standard of accommodation is maintained in perpetuity, Security Deposits are required from occupants of Clachaig’s staff accommodation. In addition, the accommodation is subject to weekly Management Inspections. These are conducted in a fair manner, with the greatest respect for the occupants right to privacy.

Rented Accommodation in the local area

There are a variety of flats and houses in nearby Ballachulish village which may be available for rent. Similar accommodation may also be found in Glencoe and Kinlochleven. It is recommended that you have your own transport if you wish to explore this possibility due to the distance from Clachaig (Approx 2 – 10 miles).

This type of accommodation can be hard to find, though not impossible. Many employees start off at Clachaig and once settled and established in the area move on to rented rooms/houses, often along with fellow staff.
